You can use it normally now, and we can define the input method scheme according to our needs.
You can switch using the shortcut
CTRL+~
or F4.
Configuration#
Configuration can be customized in various advanced ways according to your needs, but it can be quite difficult for beginners. Here, we will directly use the configuration files prepared by experts.
"Squirrel's Tuning Notes" is a very detailed configuration tutorial.
I mainly use simplified characters, so I won't tinker too much and will directly use the configuration package and expanded dictionary file provided by the author.
- Configuration package and expanded dictionary file
- Unzip the file
- Enter the compressed package, select all files, and copy them
- Go to the user settings directory as shown in the screenshot above, and paste all the copied files directly into this folder
- Click to redeploy to complete the deployment
Note: Every time you modify the files, you need to redeploy for the changes to take effect.
This article is about editing the Squirrel input method. The scheme I am using is simplified characters, which feels quite good and should meet the needs of most people. If you want to experiment, you can try other schemes; you might have a better experience!
Some may ask: What's so great about tinkering with an input method!
This input method allows you to set different schemes for different software, and combined with the configuration files, it can... have infinite possibilities.
